Your answer to Fever Blisters herpotherm® works solely by concentrated heat and is thus completely free from chemicals. It is presumed that the heat generated by herpotherm® ranging around 51°C has a positive effect on the release of histamine and the body’s own enzymes and thus curbs the inflammatory reaction.
An integrated microprocessor allow the temperature to reach approx. 50°C and remain constant for 3 or 6 seconds.
Heat being applied to the bite denatures the toxins/proteins and therefore stops the histamine reaction.
